Artifacts:
Overview:
These artifacts are rubrics I created for TCEA's Certification Programs. As part of the program, participants have to complete a final project and these rubrics provide them with the expectations.
Reflection:
These artifacts help our participants take ownership of the outcomes of the project they complete. By providing the rubrics, they can put real effort in their learning. I believe that students shouldn't ever struggle with understanding directions or expectations.
Artifact: Take Advantage of the Power of Google Forms for Perfect Rubrics
Overview:
This artifact is a blog entry I wrote about how to create rubrics using Google Forms. I wrote the blog in order to encourage teachers to use rubrics in their classroom, and to help them realize how easy they are to create.
Reflection:
This artifact was a result of a conversation I had with a participants in our Google Certification training . She asked if it would be possible to create rubrics using Google Forms. After I researched the answer, I wrote this blog. What I particularly like about using rubrics in Google Forms is that they can be easily customized to suit any classroom activity.
Artifact: Alternative Assessment Rubric
Overview:
These artifact is an alternative assessment rubric I created for a poetry eBook activity.
Reflection:
This artifact will give students a clear understanding of how they are being graded on their eBook creations. The heading on the rubric range from Novice to Exemplary. Each learning objective has an indicator of success. Stating the objective helps ensure that the eBook is aligned to the objectives.
