Sam-Edit 2 running on the Falcon

Sam-Edit 2

Sam-Edit 2 was released as freeware in 1997 by Knight Industries. It is a very nice sampler and sample editor for the Atari TOS range, from ST to Falcon. On an ST it can sample via a STOS Maestro or Master Sound 2 sample cartridge. It can handle 8-bit samples, but on an Atari Falcon it can support 16-bit samples in both mono and stereo up to 50 kHz. Extra features on the Falcon include a D2D mode (D2D not fully implemented), sound thru, channel amplification and channel attenuation, and can sample via the internal DSP. It can handle AVR, DVSM, WAV, SND, AU and SAM (STOS Maestro) sample file formats.
