SON

The little known SON, a French digital audio processor for the Atari ST. The release date is unknown, likely some time in the late 80s. SON is a hardware rack device comprising of the ADC, which attaches to the Atari ST via the cartridge port by way of its DAC. The analogue unit has a stereo output, stereo input, digital in / out, used to connect to the Atari ST, a digital in 2 and digital out 2 (SPDIF), 2 MIDI inputs, a MIDI output and a MIDI thru. It also has a switch to attenuate the input signal, and can sample at a rate of up to 44.1 kHz in stereo at 16-bit.
