GEM-Rec
GEM-Rec was conceived in 1994, and released as freeware by its author Craig Drummond in 1995. It is a two track 16-bit D2D recorder for the Atari Falcon. It supports the AVR format only, and can handle frequencies up to 49.2 kHz using the Falcon's internal DSP. Sample editing features eventually became available, such as cut, copy, paste, reverse, fade in and out, with track bouncing and DSP effects due. However those editing features were certaintly implemented post version v1.20. The final version was GEM-Rec96, again released as freeware it included those DSP effects, which could be used from WinRec, but stripped the editing features that were implemented.
