SAM 2 DISK

SAM 2 DISK was released by Dattrax Software to the public domain in 1994. It is a sampler and D2D recorder for the Atari ST, and achieves this by utilising either of the following ADCs / sample cartridges:

· Master Sound

· Stereo Master

· Stereo Replay

· Replay 16

It can therefore support both 8-bit and 16-bit samples up to a sample rate of 20 kHz, either in mono or stereo, depending if the ADC in question supports stereo. Therefore stereo is only at 8-bit, however both Stereo Replay and Replay 16 support sample playback via their onboard DACs. Of course a hard drive is also required to allow for D2D recording. There is also a sequencer for sequencing of your samples, however saving sequences is reserved for the fully purchased version.
