Practice

There will be a time, when the itch to start a practice starts to become a need. That need can be for a variety of reasons, from a friend wanting an extention, to a builder looking for some one to draw plans, to your own need to fullfil a need to express your design skills.

what ever the reason you are going to start some form of Architectural Practice. You may be a qualified Architect, in which case you can by law title your practice as Chartered Architect, or if your in partnership with another Architect, as Architects.

You may well be a Technologist, registered as a member of CIAT and can title your self as a Chartered Architectural Technologist, again if your in partnership with another Chartered Architectural Technologist, as Chartered Architectural Technologists.

In these lecture slides, I will expand upon the process of starting a practice for what evr reason, the problems, the law and most importantly developing a business plan.

It seems easy, but you need to sit down and consider just what you have commited to. There is a lot to consider, sort, organise, and believe it or not, pay for.

This first lecture is the start of a long journy,  and will form part of a series of lectures as I break down the process into separate  jobs you will need to complete.

You masy be asking what qualification do I have to advise on thos monumental life changing plan.

Well I have been down that path and believe me there are many pitfalls, hazards and legal needs.

This in the process of being completed, so hold on whilst I build this up and add more slides to this section.
