Gantt Charts

In this lecture set which is also integrated into my youtube videos via a playlist, I go through the basics of the use of Gantt charts to control a site, and how you can easily make a really effective Gantt chart in any spreadsheet, the example I use is via a Google Sheet. We then look at the more complex CPA or Critical Path Analysis method of producing really more complex charts for large projects, and final the linking of all this digital information using Syncro to a 3D model

This first slite set is just to set the scene, as an introduction to Who invented the system and the two types of chart seen in use, the more simple Gantt Chart and the more complex Critical Path Analysis chart.

This slide set offers a more detailed look at the preparation and use of a simple Gantt chart, and how it can be used to plot the sequence of activities, the materials and people needed for each activity and also as an indication to the design office for details to be completed on time.

As an aid to reading the slide set, I have included a set of videos to enhance the understanding of the use of Gantt Charts or Critical Path Analysis
