Conquering the skies was not exactly my idea, it was a surprise. One of those cute birthday presents, that school buddies do. I felt that I could not disappoint them, or break their hearts, so I did it, and almost broke mine!

My gift card was for a Tandem Jump from 8.000 feet, a start up point for all rookies. When I reached the airfield, I was informed that I was the only one to jump from that height, on that day! So, without hesitation, the instructors (hawks) offered to take me up with the group of First Class Tandem Jumpers, to the 14.000 feet. Since this was a gift card for my birthday, they were going to do it, at no extra charge, as their gift to me!

How lucky I was, got 6.000 extra feet for free! Oops, I forgot to mention that, this was my first plane flight, ever. Minor details!

Amazing experience, I was even allowed to steer the parachute for a while! After landing, I admit it took me a couple of hours to walk normally again, but yes, it was indeed one of my most unforgettable and enjoyable sports memories!

I got a nice certificate too :)
