  • Why ongoing learning is needed ? Which are the needs for ongoing learning in your field?

  • What is the role of technology in ongoing learning?

  • Imagine yourself in working life after graduation. How can you keep ongoing learning as a part of your working life practices?

  • How do you understand ongoing learning? What have you learnt about ongoing learning in working life in this course?

I believe ongoing learning is strongly connected to the challenge of learning in context as Vallo Hult and Byström (2022) emphasize in their study. More specifically, since 

  • Why ongoing learning is needed? Which are the needs for ongoing learning in your field?

  • What is the role of technology in ongoing learning?

Digital technologies have altered the way that knowledge and experience are acquired and also what of those is considered relevant (Vallo Hult & Byström, 2022)

New skills and habits to interact at the workplace are required in addition to technical skills to use specific tools, 

  • Imagine yourself in working life after graduation. How can you keep ongoing learning as a part of your working life practices?

From past experience, if the workplace is related to industry and not academia, it is quite difficult to maintain ongoing learning in everyday workload. Academia has a learning culture within the workspace which really helps with embedding learning within the work and not as something extra that is done irregularly. 

However, in industry work environments there are ways to keep ongoing learning in everyday practice. Firstly, it can be that the employers offer seminars or workshop as part of professional development
