Introduction

Hilal Devleti is a small dictatorship that is part of the greater strongmen belt, a region dotted with dictators. It is a relatively small state, mostly due to the workers' uprisings it faced in the east and north. These parts would eventually become the Hilal Devleti federal province of the greater Neue Deutsche Republic. What was left of Hilal Devleti became an isolationist agricultural state. Now it functions as the bread basket for Tierra de Abaangui. This has been quite lucrative for the state, but might be impeding further investment in industrialisation.
