Altafwid Alsamawii (1983-2309)
Introduction
Altafwid Alsamawii or the Heavenly Mandate is one of 4 Muslim majority nations on the moon. The nation is special in that its the only Muslim majority state on the near side of the moon. Altafwid Alsamawii was born from the Islamic belief in the faith's ownership over the moon. Many influential people across the Arabic and Turkish world would finance missions to the moon. These missions, with the backing of religious authorities, brought many people with strong religious fervour here. This religious fervour would however cause its own downfall. The Heavenly Mandate claimed ownership over the entire moon, and would frequently strike up tensions with neighbouring states. In a sequence of wars and proxy wars, Altafwid Alsamawii would go from a country roughly the size of Romania, to one the size of Belgium.
Its darkest hour would come after the Lunar American Civil War. When the American Mandate of the Moon collapsed, the Heavenly Mandate and unaffiliated Muslim paramilitaries would attempt to reconquer the Muslim majority Adem Mountains. While successful at first, when the chaos of the civil war calmed down, the American State of Luna would mount a counteroffensive. In a quick show of force, the ASL took back all lost lands and entered the Heavenly Mandate itself, imposing a military occupation alongside empowering a new puppet regime.
Altafwid Alhaqiqiu (1998-2309)
Introduction
Altafwid Alhaqiqiu or the True Mandate, was a response of Shia Muslim authorities to the Sunni Altafwid Alsamawii. Unlike its Sunni counterpart, Altafwid Alhaqiqiu would see prosperous trade and diplomatic relations with its American neighbours. These relations were bolstered by the True Mandate's Well kept diverse economy. Altafwid Alhaqiqiu had an extensive well kept infrastructure network, with extensive funding for its harbours, spaceports, and railways. For this reason, it would become an important connection node between the Kepler Sea and earth. Though it’d lose its northern territories after a war with Vallern, the influx of Arabic speakers from Vallern allowed it to quickly rebuild what it lost.
Attarsame (2061-2147)
Introduction
Attarsame was a small Arabic-speaking state in what is now the north of Vallern and east of Luno. The nation was moderately successful but would ultimately succumb to American expansion. Following a short war between Vallern and Altafwid Alhaqiqiu, most of the formerly Attarsame in the north of Vallern were forcibly displaced to Altafwid Alhaqiqiu.
Wilayat Aljumisht (2000-2309)
Introduction
Wilayat Aljumisht is a moderately successful Arabic state, despite its neighbours having historically having been less than accommodating. Nations like Roosevelt and the EFS have taken all of its Caloris Sea coasts. Consequently, modern-day Wilayat Aljumisht makes up less than 20% of its former territories.
