Hadriania (2162-2300)
Introduction
Hadriania is an isolationist fascist state established in lands that used to be part of the French colony of Noamonte. It became primarily Spanish following the enormous influx of nationalistic Spanish Refugees fleeing the Great European Crisis. They got to the islands through a port leased to the Latin Space Agency, whose guards were quickly overwhelmed. The Spanish peoples established themselves throughout primarily the northern islands over the course of a decade. Now, with the islands primarily Spanish, nationalist extremists forced themselves into the local governor houses on three islands. What followed was a long and bloody civil war, culminating in a pereptual heated peace situation.
Islas Cierva (2162-2309)
Introduction
Islas the Cierva is a nation built on the back of tens of thousands of refugees fighting for a new home post-European Crisis. The overwhelmed Portuguese and Greek port guards, often foolishly criticized by Esterians, simply couldn’t hold the massive influx of people. Following a riot in 2152, the Silverhill attempted to take over. The Silverhill republic had a lot more resources to conduct a proper integration program. Thousands of Spanish refugees were relocated across Estere, with a considerable density primarily in what would become the Cierva Islands. Here Silverhill officials started talks with the Spanish peoples about the establishment of a new Spanish state. The talks would never amount to much but the people, bolstered by the talks having taken place in the first place revolted. A total of 6 different Spanish states would come to be, with only Cierva and Santiago de Luna surviving for any considerable time.
Santiago De Luna (2160-2168)
Introduction
Following the great European Crisis, thousands of Spanish refugees fled for the moon. Here, the overwhelmed officials of the Latin Space Agency found themselves struggling to keep things calm. After many different larger states attempted to quell the riots, most of the Spanish refugees would find themselves calmly relocated throughout Estere. Though the Spanish wanted their own state. They felt like they weren’t properly represented by Estere and rebelled.
So following failed talks, riots broke out. A total of 6 Spanish states declared themselves independent, among which was a small city-state called Santiago de Luna. Established in 2156, with people fuelled by the quest for a normal life in a peaceful Spanish state, Santiago de Luna’s people were motivated to fight for themselves. However, the Esterian government quickly declared the new states illegal. Estere was quick in moving troops to most of the states, though it would take nearly half a decade for it to assault Santiago de Luna. After 4 years of brutal guerilla warfare, Santiago de Luna fell, with only Islas Cierva remaining, safe on their islands.
