Russia for Russians, and Luna for Lunatics

Introduction

Novaya Rosiyya is what was left of the grand strategic plans of colonisation the Russian Empire had before its fall from grace. Originally, nearly all of the eastern continent was granted to Russia in the Partition of a Thousand Souls. And while it decreased slightly after the Partition of Ten Thousand Souls, Russia could never have expected what would end up happening with the vast lands they were promised. In 1947, the Polish revolted, then the Kazakhs, then the Sakha, then the Estonians, and on and on the empire fell. While Russia was able to recapture many of its imperial holdings, in the chaos, it lost much of its space faring capabilities. Primarily it lost much of its space industry to the new Grand Polish state in Eastern Europe. While this was terrible, Novara Rossiya still held a large part of New Brussels Island. At Least they held a large part of it until a sequence of humiliating defeats which ended up even cutting Russian lands on the island in two hyper densely populated parts.
