A Final Note from

Ms. France, principal

What a school year it has been! In August 2021 & for months after, we balanced extensive & elaborate Covid protocols while celebrating in-person learning with our Middles. How far we have come since August 2021!

The past few years have taught us that without students, school buildings feel empty & purposeless. But with students, schools become alive with:

  • the joys & challenges of academic growth,

  • confidence-building opportunities, &

  • real-world socialization moments.

From all this, our Middles, families, & staff have grown wiser & hopefully more grateful for the simple things life offers.

Over my 25 years of working with middle school students, people have asked "why work with middle schoolers?" After that question, people usually talk about the awkward phase of life we all experience during 6th, 7th & 8th grade. To this question I consistently say....."Middles are my favorite humans!"

Why are Middles my favorite? Every. single. child. is born perfect, a true gift. Fast forward 11 years & that same, perfect child is a middle schooler who needs families, teachers, & administrators who lean in & love them through this strange, beautiful phase of life. It is an honor to care for others when they need us the most.

Thank you for supporting the Kingsley staff and I this school year! Your words of encouragement, prayers, & appreciation helped us serve our Middles & finish strong.
