Plans for After Spring Break

On March 8, Dr. Weikle, the U5 Superintendent, sent an information-packed email to families with students in grades 6-12 regarding transitioning hybrid students to 4 days a week in-person learning. Wednesdays will remain remote for all students for the remainder of the school year. Her email included the U5 6-12 educator survey results, the U5 family survey results, & the U5 air quality plan (page 1 addresses the Kingsley plan). I have pulled out the highlights in the bulleted information below. For more details, please review Dr. Weikle's March 8th email.

  • Transition Dates were included in the March 8 email. The dates have been included in the "Dates to Note" below.

  • Students who are fully remote will maintain their fully remote status through the remainder of the school year as indicated in our repeated communication in December. The only change for students who are fully remote is on Monday, March 29, there is no school.

  • Students who are hybrid will transition to 4 days per week in-person attendance based on the "Dates to Note" below. If your child is hybrid and you would like to transition them to fully remote, email Ms. France at francesm@unit5.org by this Friday, March 12.
