Holiday cheer & the gift of gratitude

In November, I shared that expressions of gratitude increase happiness. Remember the Harvard article? When adults (teachers, parents, grandparents, administrative assistants, custodians, administrators, paraprofessionals, cafeteria personnel....all adults) are joyful that joy spreads to children & learning becomes easier.

For December, I created an easy way for you to exercise your gratitude muscle to spread holiday cheer with Kingsley staff. If you complete the "Holiday Cheer" Google Form, I will share it with the appropriate staff member(s). I hope this is an easy way for you to recognize some Kingsley staff & generate joy through expressing gratitude yourself!

With Winter Break on the horizon, I wish you & your family a restful break & holiday cheer!

With care, Ms. France

E-learning days

Winter weather is settling in & although we don't want to think about snow & ice, it's good to be prepared! To help families plan ahead in the event of inclement winter weather, we wanted to share the 21-22 plans for e-Learning Days at the middle school.

Our E-learning schedule will allow students to learn in the morning while staying warm & safe at home, enjoy lunch, then if weather allows, get out there and play in the snow!

Teachers will provide synchronous & asynchronous learning opportunities through Google Classroom then host office hours for students who need extra help at the conclusion of the E-learning day.
