"Bell" Schedule beginning 11.19.20

On Friday, November 13, an adaptive pause (access here) to the hybrid/blended learning schedule was announced. Therefore, this Wednesday, November 18, teachers will be planning for the transition. As a result, there is no school this Wednesday.

Beginning Thursday, November 19, all Unit 5 middle schools will follow one schedule on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with a different Wednesday schedule. Access the bell schedule here & details on synchronous and asynchronous class meetings.

At this time, we will use these schedules through December 4.

Athletic Update 11.23.20

We love to have athletic & activities for students! Unfortunately, current circumstances warrant that we are on a pause for all in-person athletics and activities until 12.7.20. In-season athletics, such as cheer & dance, are welcome to meet virtually.

MAP Testing Update 11.13.20

With the transition to remote-for-all learning, MAP testing will not occur for any U5 students at this time.

Locker Update 11.13.20

If in-person students have items stored in lockers, we encourage students to take those items home at this time.

School Pictures 11.23.20

If your student missed in-person school photos, we still have a way for them to have their photo in the yearbook! Students may take a forward facing photo from their shoulders up on a blank wall background and email it to Mr. Tanner at tannerd@unit5.org.

Currently, we do not have a school picture retake date. In a typical year, we would have shared that date by now. This year, we need to be certain that we will be in-person before retakes are scheduled.

Want to purchase a Yearbook?

  • Before December 18, yearbooks may be pre-ordered here.

  • Pre-order cost is $25. After December 18, yearbook cost is $30.

  • NEW in 20-21: Due to our delayed start, the yearbook for all U5 middle schools will be delivered in August 2021. This follows the pattern U5 high schools have followed for some time and was necessary to get as much content in the yearbook as possible.

What's Up Kingsley?

If a student sees or hears something of concern, we encourage them to report it to us. We appreciate them helping us keep the Kingsley community a physically and emotionally safe place!

How do students report concerning things they see or hear? The online version of the "What's Up Kingsley?" form is linked under the "Administration" tab and the "Frequently Used Links" area of the KJHS website and teachers have paper copies.

How do students know about the "What's Up Kingsley?" reporting option? Staff shared this video and discussed how to get help for a friend or for themselves.
