1. A student failing one (1) course in the LVN to RN Transition Program can repeat the course in the next semester the course is offered.
2. Students may transfer cohorts/repeat a course within the TSTC LVN to ADN Transition Program ONCE.
a. Ex: if a student fails in the Fall and re-enters in the Spring and moves on to the Summer and then fails again, the student is ineligible for re-entry a second time.
3. The student seeking to transfer cohorts/repeat a course in the TSTC LVN to RN Transition Program must:
a. Provide written documentation to the Program Director addressing:
i. Factors contributing to failure
ii. An improvement plan letter detailing steps the student will take to ensure success **The letter must be submitted prior to being registered for the repeated course in the semester the student would enter after failing the course.
b. Attend a face-to-face or virtual interview with the admissions committee if recommended by the Program Director.
4. Students who repeat a course and join a new cohort will be held to the same standard as other students (e.g. admission/tardy policies, exams, class work, projects, class participation, etc.).
5. Repeating a course with a new cohort may only be done if space in the cohort is available.
6. If a student transfers cohorts and campuses, the student can only transfer once and must finish the program with the new cohort at the new campus.
