All items required for the student clinical file and clinical course attendance must be filed at the TSTC ADN Program office (Harlingen or Sweetwater) to be provided to the clinical facilities. It is the student’s responsibility to submit all up to date documents to TSTC ADN Program Department. Failure to do so will result in a disciplinary student action plan (SAP) being given. Students cannot attend clinicals without all items of the clinical documentation on their person. These items include, but may not be limited to: Blue card/DO, drug screen, vaccine records, urine drug screen, Group One results, LVN License, and BLS card.
At the time of admission to the Program, all student information is compiled and is accessible to all faculty and staff. All items required for the student clinical file and clinical course attendance, must be filed at the TSTC ADN Program office. The program faculty will review all documents at the time of admission to the program and highlight all documents that will expire during the three semesters.
The faculty member assigned to the clinical course will check the roster prior to starting the semester. The Program Team Lead and clinical faculty will randomly check the roster to ascertain its accuracy. It is ultimately the student's responsibility to maintain a current status on all required items: TB, CPR, licensure, and other vaccines.
Each of these required documents must be kept up to date. Students will be notified by the ADN Program office when these clinical documents are due to expire.
The student MUST maintain current immunizations throughout the program and graduation. If the student is not current, you will be ineligible to proceed in the program or with graduation, including the submission of the Affidavit of Graduation (AOG).
