Needlestick Policy

If a needle stick should occur, the area is to be washed thoroughly and first aid administered as needed. Faculty should notify the Program Director immediately for additional instructions as to further treatment needs for the safety of the student and others in the clinical or lab setting. The faculty member in charge is responsible for proper documentation as per program requirements. The department has a Needle Stick and Exposure Plan that will be initiated by your instructor.
