Illnesses

If a student is ill and cannot attend class or clinical, the student is expected to notify the instructor and complete the online assignment in the allotted time frame. Clinical and lab absences are addressed under Attendance.

If a student sustains an injury during clinical and/or classroom settings, TSTC will not be held liable.

If a student becomes ill or injured in the clinical setting, they must first notify the instructor if it is safe to do so, then the student may go to the emergency room or be treated by an appropriate healthcare provider. Clinical facilities require proof of student medical insurance. Use of the emergency room will be at the student’s expense.
