Downsview, for the week of February 13th, we honour grade 12 student Reyli S. 

Let’s hear from Reyli’s nominator, Mr Lewin: “Where do we begin? Reyli, we are so proud of  you for all that you have accomplished to date. Reyli took Cooperative Education in Semester 1. He had the opportunity to do his placement with a construction/appliance installation company. Suffice it to say that Reyli 's performance was exceptional. He was punctual, reliable, collaborative, and a hard worker. He also demonstrated strong leadership skills. Reyli's commitment to excellence paid off.  His final mark in four credit Coop was 90 percent. 

Reyli  is also a star athlete, an integral member of Downsview 's Senior Boys  basketball team. Reyli 's compassionate, thoughtful,  and humble nature can be seen both on and off the court.  

In terms of his post secondary plans, Reyli plans to pursue a career in the skilled trades. Reyli, the Downsview family is confident that you will achieve your career goal  and in the process make a long lasting difference in the lives of others.”

Looking at Reyli’s academic history, classes have been fine. Reyli, you’ve made it through to your graduating year. This year, however, you are showing yourself in a new and powerful way. It’s a delight to see your growth. And, the thing about growth is, it’s ongoing. We can’t wait to see where you go from here. Congratulations, Reyli, on your win as Student of the Week.
