Michelle L.

Downsview, for the week of February 6th, it is a pleasure to announce that Michelle L is your first Student of the Week for the second semester. Michelle is in the ninth grade at Downsview.

Let’s get straight to the praise for Michelle. First from Mr. Lam, who nominated Michelle, “It has been my pleasure to recognize and acknowledge Michelle's amazing accomplishment.  I had the privilege to teach Michelle English in the first semester.  Michelle is a very conscientious and dedicated student who participates well in class and strives for excellence.  When it comes to work, Michelle produces the best work with 100% effort.  Michelle works well in group work and brings a positive attitude to her classes, while being also supportive towards peers.  Congratulations Michelle for earning student of the week!”

Mr. Chapman says: “Michelle is a very talented artist. She produced her first oil painting this past semester, a portrait of a woman with flowers in her hair. It's incredible. Please come down to see it for yourself; it's hanging in the front office.”

Let’s hear from Ms. Susnik: “There are so many words that come to mind when I think of Michelle Le - studious, determined, motivated, creative, friendly, compassionate and kindhearted. All qualities that exemplify the student of the week. Congratulations Michelle!”

Hear this from Mr. Syal: “I had the pleasure of teaching science to Michelle.  She is a role model to Downsview students.  She always completes her work with integrity and she takes pride in her work. I am looking forward to teaching her higher grades.  Her project on "Mission to Mars" was exemplary. Well researched and presented to the class.”

And finally from Mr. Lewin: “Congratulations, Michelle L, for winning student of the week. In the first semester , Michelle’s average was over 90 percent. Her steadfast commitment to  excellence both within and outside of the classroom is truly inspiring. Michelle is a humble, compassionate and reflective leader who gives to those who are in need. Recently, she received customer service training under the leadership of staff champion, Ms Lee. Michelle, you are the embodiment of why Downsview is such a special place. We are so proud of all that you have accomplished.”

Well, Michelle, you heard it here. Your dedication, determination and kind heartedness have earned you this award. Congratulations again, Michelle, you are a very deserving Student of the Week.
