Cleric C.

Downsview, for the week of December 19th, it is a pleasure to announce that Cleric is your Student of the Week. Cleric is in the eleventh grade at Downsview.

Let’s get right to the praise for Cleric. Here’s what Ms. Silvana has to say: “Cleric, A kind, calm, and positive person.  You are always willing to support the school community.  Cleric you are a quiet strong leader and I appreciate you and am so happy that this week we celebrate all your wonderful qualities.  Congratulations on this well deserved recognition.”

And from Mr. Lim: “I've worked with Cleric in both clubs and the classroom. What really sticks with me is how she always supports her peers, both in the classroom and personally. This student of the week nomination is well deserved.”

Hear this from Mr. Wallace who nominated Cleric: “Cleric does not draw attention to themselves. But that does not stop the brilliance within to shine. Cleric is a deeply thoughtful writer who gets to the core of important issues with clarity and efficiency. That skill indicates someone who is a keen observer, and who is caring and sensitive. Cleric is a friend and who creates stability for all. Cleric makes people feel safe.”

Ms. Lee says: “It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know Cleric over the past two years. I know Cleric as a student of my Hairstyling and Aesthetics class, a member of the Sisterhood and a Student Ambassador for Passport to Employment. In all three capacities, Cleric has developed and gained a wealth of confidence and leadership. She is reliable and trustworthy. Cleric contributes to discussions in a thoughtful manner, bringing her personal experiences and listens well to learn from others. As a Student Ambassador, Cleric works alongside a colleague to create announcements, posters and help run the amazing workshops such as CPR/First Aid Trainings, Resume Workshops and Interview Skill Workshops here at Downsview.  Cleric, you are a gem! Thank you for all you do.”

And lastly from Mr. Lewin: “Cleric is an outstanding student  and leader in the Downsview school community. In October, she played a leadership role in the hugely successful student-led Tools of Possibilities conference Cleric  was part of the design committee Cleric is an honour roll student scholar who strives to achieve excellence both within  and outside of the classroom. The Downsview family is so proud of  all that you have  accomplished. Keep on being a  source of inspiration through  your compassionate, thoughtful and reflective nature.
