This course is an introductory course which leads on to Accounting, Agri Business, Business Studies and Economics.
In Commerce, you will explore the use of Accounting, Business and Economics concepts and models to understand society and solve problems.
As ākonga you will:
build your necessary knowledge, skills and values that will enable you to navigate and participate in the economic world.
learn how participants in the economic world make decisions and analyse how these decision impact on sustainability..
Learn that a variety of cultural perspectives and lenses is used make decisions to address scarcity.
Examine a variety of approaches (including Maori and Pacific) to commerce and business models used by whānau and organisations.
There are four standards in this course - 2 externals and 2 internals. We plan to do 2 internals and 1 external, however we can also offer 2 externals to students who would prefer to do both the externals.
