Mixed Media

For the Mixed Media drawing I drew a photo of my dad and my dog using a photo reference to enlarge the picture and to get precise details. For tools I used Charcoal, ink, and tortillions.

To draw the picture I first took a photo and grided it into inch by inch squares. I then took the paper I was drawing on and gridded it into one and a half by one and a half inch squares. I then started drawing in the top left corner and worked my way across the row using charcoal or ink. I then would do the same thing for the other rows. Once I finished I worked on erasing the grid lines and eresing andy smudges on the border.

Next time I would spend more time out of class working on it so that I could get it done on time. I would also try to make the colors blend better so that you couldn't see all the individual lines. I would also like to go square by square next time so I can be more precise.
