Animal Assembelage

For this project I made a dolphin sculpture. To make this sculpture I used cardboard, aluminum foil, sea glass, hot glue gun, hot glue, scissors, and a hanger. I used a dolphin sculpture that I already had in my house as a reference for color and shape. I was able to easily make this at home with the materials I found in my house.

To make this project I started off by getting an old cheerios box and drawing a dolphin shape on it. Then using some scissors I cut the shape out. I then grabbed some aluminum foil and I started to shape the dolphin. I added more aluminum doul on the side of the dolphin than on the tail to make it look as realistic as possible. I then took some sea glass I found when living in Bath and grabbed all the white ones I could find. I glues those where the belly of the dolphin would be. I then took all my light blue and all my dark blue colors and layered them where they fit on the dolphin. I then used some more hot glue to make sure the sea glass would stay when I picked it up. I then glues a hanger to the back so that I could hang it on a wall.

Building the Dolphin next time I would try and do the back too. But in order to do that I would have to find a lot more sea glass and get more hot glue. I think I did a good job on this project. I spent at least 4 hours working on it and I spent a lot of time planning it.
