Markers on Drawing Paper

The main idea I was trying to get across with my artwork was that I could zoom in and continue to zoom in on  my artwork. Then I would be able to pick one of the zooms and turn it into something that I thought it looked like.  What I'm trying to say about my artwork is that I saw rocks and a waterfall and after drawing those i realized the empty space could be a tree.

The work was made by multiple steps. Starting with doing a pure contour drawing of my shoes. Then I grabbed a view finder and drew a zoomed in part of my shoe. I put my view finder on the zoomed version and zoomed in even further, I repeated this step two more times. Then I picked one zoom and drew what I saw in it. At first I saw hills and tried to do a night and day idea but I didn't like how it looked so I restarted it and did rocks with a waterfall and a tree.

The idea process I went through from the beginning to the end was when I had my three zoomed shoe drawing I had to pick one that I thought I would be able to make it into something. My zooms two and three were very similar so I decided to choose three. It took my a while to figure out what I saw in it and I restarted once because I didn't like how it looked but in the end I'm happy with the result of my artwork.
