Hot Dog Galore

The main idea that guided my artwork is that I wanted it to be simple and clean.  I didn't want it to have too many distractions from the main point of the drawing. Also, I wanted the drawing of the hotdog to be neat and simple, almost easy to look at. What I want someone to see when they look at my work are simplicity and creativity.

To start off my drawing I used a pencil. I did a light sketch of where everything was going to be. Then I went in with colored pencils. I started lightly then started adding a little shading or dimension to the image. I was going to leave it there, but then I thought that adding a black line (sharpie) around all the sections or parts of the hot dog would separate everything and make it neater.

Finally,  when I was first starting my drawing I searched for an image of a hot dog so I could see what angle I wanted my drawing to be at. I decided to make it at a slant because I thought it would be easier to know what the drawing was. Also because it was easier for the shading to be drawn.
