Beautiful Oops

Under The Sea

The main idea I wanted to get across in my Beautiful Oops is that out of blobs of ink I saw fish swimming. If someone else were to look at the drawing they might've seen something totally different. The fact that I saw fish makes the drawing and blobs my own.

I started off by drawing the outline of the fish with the blobs. Then I drew the air bubbles that the ink had made on one part next to all the fish.  I did my work all in pencil because it made it easier to shade and take away things that I didn't want in the end. I then drew the bottom of the ocean adding seaweed, rocks, and shells. I shaded these then moved on to adding other fish and a tail of a shark going off the page.

There wasn't much of a process that I went through, when I saw empty spaces on the page I thought to myself what were some things I might see on the ocean ground and added them to the page. I didn't overthink the things I added because they could and would be in the ocean. When I wasn't sure what else to add, I added the shark tail because I thought it added more life to the page.
