What guided this artwork was that when I created the mixed media drawing I really enjoyed it and I felt successful after completing it. However, I decided to do my other dog rather than the dog I did in the original Enzo charcoal drawing. 

How I created my artwork was to create a border on my paper so that it would match the size of the picture I printed out. After, I gridded my picture and then also gridded my paper to match it. After, I went grid my grid trying to duplicate what I saw on the picture, onto the paper. After, I added highlights and lowlights to the picture to add more of a gradient to the artwork.

What changed from the original idea of what I was going to do to the end, was that I originally was going to include the background and what was behind Aggie, however, based on the time I had left to make it and what I thought would look best, I decided to just include Aggie and exclude everything else.
