Wire Sculpture

The main idea of creating my wire sculpture was to create a water bottle shape without tippiness or falling. My sculpture is a little uneven and shifty, but being able to make my sculpture stand was my biggest goal. I think the sculpture had potential to become something more than a water bottle, but i was absent for some class periods so I unfortunately could not make it anymore.

The materials i used were wire and wire tools, such as pliers, and wire cutters. I started to create fish hooks to connect each piece together. I made about 7 circles and connected them together by adding 4 fish hook wires. I then formed the top of the water bottle by making a loop and adding fish hooks to each ends.

The process I went through to get to my final design was experimentation. I have never created anything with wire so this was fun to try something new. It wasn't my favorite way to make art because of how difficult it was, especially on my hands. But overall my process was pretty fun.
