Scratchboard

The main Idea that guided my art was, creating my dog and bringing him to life throughout this piece. I wanted to make sure to incorporate the sparkle in his eyes. Creating detail through his fur, and throughout the whole piece, is what guided my work.

The materials I used for this piece were scratchboard, and materials like Exacto knives and little brushes that were able to scratch, I used brushes to create his fur very realistically. I was able to create little designs around the piece that made him pop out.

The process I went through to create this piece was experimentation. I had no idea about scratchboards and really how to use them. I enjoyed using the scratchboard, and I am happy with how my final piece turned out.
