Beautiful oops
Dolphin Jumping into the Water
paper, watercolor, pen
Dimensions: 6" by 5.5"
The idea that guided my beautiful oops was wanting my drawing to be a water scene. In my brain, one of the splotches looked like a lobster buoy so I decided I could incorporate the ocean in some way.
For materials, I started with outlining my whole scene in a 2h pencil. Then I went in with a pen to make my outline more visible. After that, I started on my ocean. I immediately starting my ocean part of the painting with blue watercolor I incorporated different shades to try and make the ocean more wavey. For my colors I used, blue, black, green, yellow, red, and purple.
The process that I used for this piece was experimentation. I did not have a plan, I just drew what I saw. I even added in my dolphin at the way end. I liked how it turned out because I was just drawing what I saw, and I did not have to stick to any plan.
