Extended Blind Countor

Extended Blind Contour

Pen and watercolor on paper

Dimensions: 12" x 9"

The main Idea that guided my artwork is trying to make it look like absolutely nothing anyone could recognize. I wanted it completely abstract. I did see the huge eyes I drew and decided to try and go off of that.

For this project, I started the blind counter with a sharpie pen. Then when we could look I went over the spots I wanted to be bold and stand out. I drew in what I saw and what I thought would look good. After I did that I went in with watercolor to fill in the little and big spaces.

In this project, I did complete experimentation. I did not have any plan at all. I just drew and colored in what I saw and what I thought looked good. I really like drawing this way because it's a lot more fun to just draw when you don't have any idea what you are drawing.
