Covid-19 Visual Response

Neighbors 9.5x9

The story behind my art is I wanted to create something that I am seeing a lot when it comes to talking about this virus. And that is people helping each other so I created art that shows that. This connects to me because my family tries to help others during this stressful time.

The materials I used were art paper, pencils to sketch, water colors to color the whole painting, pens to help brighten some parts, and markers to write the text.

The way I made this was but first coming up with my idea after I took out a piece of paper and started sketching the houses, mountains, and the sun. After I got a basic outline I took out my water color and started coloring everything. Well I was painting I was trying to come up with the saying at the bottom. The last thing I did was write the text for both what the people were saying and the saying at the bottom. If I were to do this again I could use a different marker to write the text because the one I used is a little blurry and went everywhere. And I could erase some of the lines you can see through the water color.
