Surrealist Collage

Artist Statement

In this project the whole main idea was to be able to create a collage and copy/reference the collage in a painting. In this project I really just used my collage as a starting point as you can tell it is very different from my painting. At the start of the making I didn't even know what to choose out of the magazines so I kind of just chose random pictures and saw what it lead to. This of course lead to an abstract camo-like painting with a side by side going up a hill and to implement life I add birds and the sun and clouds. At the start I just used a pencil to outline the designs I then painted over it with random colors to turn it into what it is now.
