In this project I was told to make a coil cylinder that had to be taller than it was wide, what I realized in this project was that I was better at working with coils more than I was with pinch pots. This was because I tended to make the pinch pots too thick in previous projects causing them to crack and break. This prompt was to make it so then I could get used to using the coil pot technique and learn how to control coils for the summative.

During this project I didn't have many struggles at all knowing the fact that it was a technique I had used in previous years while forming clay. I thought of the design basically right off the top of the head the second I was introduced the prompt for this project so it didn't take long to get started with forming the clay. I then after forming and smoothing out the cylinder to make an indented line pattern with a line seperated the bottom of the pot from the rest. Then I used Flambe glaze for the base color, and used a brown glaze for the bottom, and for all of the lines on the pot I used obsidian glaze. Overall this was probably one of the smoothest going and easier projects of the year so far for me.
