Pure Contour

Artist Statment

During this project I had to use a rubber band and put it around my fingers in a way and have my hand in a pose and draw a contour drawing. This meaning that I had to make a drawing with bold lines and no shading just like an outline. I also as a way to warm up for the main piece of art I drew three views of a shoe and I chose Nike Air Force 1's.

With this project all I used was graphite and paper. I did light sketches at first of both and then I covered those light sketches with hard pencil strokes to give it the bold finish.
