In this Project the prompt was to make two mugs out of slabs with either a slab handle or a pulled handle. This was the one and only project where I had done work with slabs, so it was basically just go big or go home. I really only had an idea for one of the mugs, which was the one that I tried to make look like it was steel plated, and the other was just freestyle.

During this project I didn't have many problems at all, except for making my first handle, This took many tries because it was my first time using the pull technique and I would tend to pull it too hard that it would just rip in half. To make the slabs I would just roll them out with a slab roller, and wrap them around an empty tennis ball container to make the shape of the mug. I then attached the handles to both of the mugs and started carving the designs into them, after finishing the sgraffito on the mugs I then continued with the glazing process which was probably the hardest part of the project.
