Color Design

Artist Statement

In this project I had to include 84 colors, this may seem like a lot but all I had to do was to have 12 different colors and doing their shades and tints. In this project I decided to base it off of a Burton Snowboard, I had to make a design, so this meaning you can't really see the brush strokes which with the lighter colors it wasn't that hard but the darker colors took many layers. This project took pretty long with doing all of the cleaning of pallets and brushes and creating the secondary and tertiary colors. With this project I decided to create a striped pattern across the board with the different colors and their shades tints. I used acrylic paint for all of the colors and then I went over with a black paint marker to give a prominent border and outline to the board, and put on finishing touches
