Artist Statement

This project is a project that was self-led meaning you could basically do whatever type of art you wanted to that you had access to. Despite my fairly simplistic painting it was an idea I've wanted to do all year. Ive always loved silhouette art with like a pretty sunset in the background so this was my chance to do it. Since I had already had the idea down in my head I didn't really have to do much planning ahead of time. I started with painting the hill so then I would have the basic outline of the where the sunset starts. While I was painting the sunset I made it with splotches to make it easy to blend and make it have a smoother blend. When I was done with the sunset I then started to paint the silhouette of the deer to finish it off.
