Artist Statement

For this project I did printmaking, I had no prior printmaking experience before this so this was my first go at it. At first I had to create a design that I liked so I did a deer standing on a hill silhouette. The first perfect print I made took the longest because I had to get the whole printmaking thing down to create it so it took many tries for me to see a rough estimate of how much pressure and how much ink I should use. For the multicolor I made a stencil with one of my worse prints and I basically painted the ink onto one of my perfect prints. For the extended all I did was add detail with colored pencil, and the unique surface I did the same process with the solid colored one but on a piece of construction paper.
