In this project I had to make two different pots using the pinch technique, these two pots had to be different but also had to have aspects that are the same to tell hat they go together. My idea was going to be having one tall pot and one shorter but One of the pots was supposed to be elevated, which is where most of my problems came in.
At first I thought of a design where both pots were simple pots elevated with human-like legs. This is wear my problem came in. I either didn't connect the legs well enough or they were too weak. When I created the first pot, I started attaching the legs which went well. But the next day when I came back of the legs were broken, and in the process of attaching the leg back on another broke beyond repair. So to compromise with this issue I removed all of the legs and sanded the bottom of the pot down just enough so it could stand evenly. This issue changed my whole idea with the other pot. So instead I made eight different legs that looked almost similar to octopus tentacles. Which then due to the thickness after getting put in the kiln for a bisque fire broke off, this made it so then when I was in the process of glazing I had to use glaze to re-attach the legs. Which was the last step before putting it in the kiln to be fire and finished.
