I chose to draw NYC because that is my favorite place to travel to. I love NYC because of all the lights and buildings, so my inspiration for this piece was of course NYC. For this artwork, I used watercolor, pencil, coffee, tea, and a sharpie. I used coffee to do the sky to get a nice texture and dark color, I used tea and watercolor for the buildings. overall I think it came out pretty good. This piece of artwork started out as a sketch and carefully moved to a painting. My next steps would be to add more detail and color to the drawing/painting. During the process of this piece, I noticed that the coffee was not making the background sky dark enough so I did end up over-layering black watercolor to get the color I wanted.
