Realistic self portrait:

For this project, we had to draw self-portraits. For both of these artworks, I used paper and pencil. I started by using my graph to sketch and get the format of the drawing, then I used darker shades of pencils and contrasting values. I definitley had some challenges with the portrait and making sure everything lined up and all the colors were accurate, the graph definitely makes things 10x better when it comes to accuracy and cleanness but there were still challenges throughout this piece. Although I experienced challanges I think the artwork still managed to come out very well and as best as it could. My next step would be to go back, and re-shade and make it even so you can't see the squares of the graph. This was a fun experience and I learned a new way to draw realistic self-portraits.
