duality project

For this project We had to choose two different things opposite from each other. I chose color and black and white for my theme, and I did it on a tile because I wanted something I could hang up or look at. For this assignment I used metal tools, exacto knife, wooden tools, and a sponge. I started by carving out the shapes and objects I wanted on the tile like suns, stars, plantes, etc. I love how the final product looks and this is probably one of my favorite projects. I had a few up and downs especially when it came to the carving and making of shapes..I ended up redoing a lot of the shapes and carvings, As you can see in the finished product some things about the patterns changed. I like the carvings I ended up going with better then the previous ones I had done. Overall this was my favorite project and I had lots of fun doing it.
