Assemblage Sculpture

For this piece we had to make a realistic 3d style work. I decided on a mockingbird because It was smaller and still had a lot of color and detail, I think mockingbirds are beautiful and definitely my favorite bird because of the colors. One challenge I faced was that I was cutting the piece of paper too small and it became very time-consuming so I decided to start cutting bigger and thicker pieces to cover more area of space, besides that the bird was very easy to sculpt, put together, and complete. My favorite part about this mocking bird is the colors and great assortment of shades used. I would definitely like to add more color and layers but I ran out of paper to use, but it's all good because it still looks super realistic and amazing. I used paint paper samples, hot glue, wire, tape, newspaper. Overall I love the outcome of this piece.
