book ends

For this project we had to make bookends! I knew right away that I wanted to do mushrooms because they would go best with the theme of my room. I made two mushroom on each book end using a pinch pot technique, for the mushroom stem I used a coil technique but didn't thinly coil them. I used an exacto knife, wooden tools, and glaze for this project. I don't necessarily love the colors I choose but its okay because they still came out fine. If I were to do this project again I would probably change the colors and make the mushroom longer and bigger because they were a little too short for my liking.

Overall this project was something different from what I would normally make and I think it was a good learning experience. I wouldn't say it was my favorite project but I learned some different and new techniques while doing it.
