For this assignment we received a strip with 10 rectangles and our task was to create 10 designs going from dark to light. I tried to make cool designs that not a lot of other people used but that also I could make it easy to see the light from dark scale. I made this piece by starting with pencil and I tried to make star like shapes then I kept on using pencil for the first 6 squares and for each square I would press harder to try and make an accurate light to dark scale. After using the pencils I used pen because it is darker than pencil and lighter than sharpie, and I used the pen for 2 squares. Then for the final 2 squares I used sharpie to make it dark and I also made these 2 squares have more lines so it looks darker.

Overall I am pretty happy with how this came out and I like the designs I used but I do think that some of my designs are either too dark or too light depending on where they are on the strip. Also I would probably rearrange some of the designs because I think some of the more intricate designs towards the end.
